Jota Tanaka joins us for a special evening with Fuji Gotemba Distillery's amazing range of whiskies. As one of only two master Blenders in Fuji distilleries history, Jota joined Fuji distillery co in 1988 spending the next 5 years working as an oenologist in the Napa Valley wine region. On moving back to Japan he was put to work in product development and quality control for whisky and RTD's. From 2002 he spent 7 years working as the Director of quality and production planning at Four Roses distillery before being appointed Master blender of Fuji distillery since 2010. 


It's hard to believe that Fuji whisky was not widely exported until 2016, it just feels like part of the furniture in a whisky bar today. Such a meteoric rise to classic Japanese whisky shows that the incredible work blenders and marketers have done together (yep, that's how they do it at Fuji) has brought people to enjoy a new breed of Japanese whisky. 

Jota will guide us through the intricacies of the core range and then through the special 2023 released 50th anniversary series of Single Blended, Single Grain and Single Malt.
