SOLD OUT: Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Killara distillery with Australian Distiller of the Year Kristy Lark

From AUD $49.00
  • Duration: 2 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Melbourne, VIC
  • Product code: P1RMYG

There are few distillers in Australia that have been around whisky as long as Kristy Lark. Growing up with a still outside her bedroom door and creating some of Australia's earliest single malts, distilling has come very naturally to her. But staying true to the family style is where Kristy has guided her own distillery into one that is held in high regard with long time industry watchers and peers. Coming home from the recent Australian distillers Conference where Kristy was awarded distiller of the year proves that we need to keep an eye on the quiet, yet highly active Killara distillery.

"Killara has a lovely flavour profile due to our unique spirit still, that we affectionately call our rocket ship! The still is modelled off the small 5lt still that started the Aussie boutique industry and I still (!!) have memories of being used in our kitchen when I was growing up... I love that there are subtle differences between each cask and that everything we do is really hands on. It is slow but totally worth it." — Kristy Lark

Join Kristy Lark as she joins us off the back of judging the Australian International Spirits Awards in Melbourne, sharing some of her newest releases, including the 10th Anniversary of Killara distillery special. Kristy is extremely well travelled with a broad industry knowledge which is demonstrated in all releases of Killara and it's development.
