A SURPRISE APPEARANCE THIS FRIDAY from Niigata Kameda distillery co-founder Naoko Doda and Akemi Tomura.

Fresh off the back of winning World's Best New Make Spirit for the second time at the World Whisky Awards, Naoko Doda will share the newest whiskies from Niigata Kameda distillery. Already awarded multiple times for it's special craftsmanship in creating new make spirit, the whiskies from Kameda are set to capture a new generation of Japanese whisky lover.

At their only formal tasting in Australia you'll get to try all 3 releases from Niigata Kameda distillery with a special surprise tasting of Niigata Local barley. A first of it's type in Japan!

About Niigata Kameda distillery

On the west coast of Japan, lies the city of Niigata. Often overlooked by Australian travellers, the city is the largest on the west coast of Honshu, known mostly for its high quality rice, sake and as an important port town.

In 2019, the Niigata Kameda distilling company was founded by the son-in-law of a famous personal stamp making company, Hanko-no-Ohtani. To date, the distillery has released work in progress miniatures, many highly-awarded by the UK based World Whiskies Awards, as well as three large format releases.

The distillery is yet another example of a Japanese whisky distillery born out of romance. Born in Hokkaido, Hiroyuki Doda moved to Niigata where he married the representative director of Hanko-no-Ohtani, and after years of working within the family business, his dream of a whisky distillery was born.
