The St Agnes Distillery in Renmark unquestionably produces some of the world's greatest brandies. Here at Whisky & Alement, we've been serving and singing thepraises of this legendary distillery for a number of years, and this July, we're privileged to be hosting a rare event. Richard Angove, the fifth-generation of the Angove family – pioneers of the Australian brandy category – will be joining us to present a tasting of St Agnes' finest brandies, culiminating in the award-winning XO 40 Year Old. On top of that, he'll also be presenting an Australian-first – a sample of the yet-to-be-released St Agnes single malt whisky! This will be the first time their whisky, which has just turned two years old, has been sampled outside the distillery. So come and join us for a fascinating look at one of Australia's most revered spirits producers.
