Whisky & Alement are taking you even further into the world of whisky and Independent bottlers with Manchester local, Chorlton Whisky. Set yourself up at home on the 5th of May with 6 x 15ml samples, and be guided by none other than David Bennett, founder and company director. 

David Bennett is a resident of Chorlton, Manchester, who after attending many community whisky tastings decided it was time to ramp things up and begin hosting his own. After a couple of years immersing himself in the industry the stage was set for David to start bottling his own whiskies for the followers he’d attracted. David now bottles single cask whiskies for enthusiasts who have been drawn to his mythical labels and well known distilleries. Chorlton whiskies are rarely “finished” and usually fully matured in the one cask, beginning to end.   

Whisky isn’t a side project to David, who’s full time gig is Chorlton Whisky. He selects casks that are more orthodox than some of the newer Indie bottlers out there, preferring to stick with ex-bourbon cask maturation over sherry and wine casks. Join Miranda Lidgerwood and Julian White of Whisky & Alement, and David Bennett of Chorlton Whisky, live from Chorlton in the comfort of your own whisky den at home as we taste through a peat heavy line up of the latest imports. All Chorlton Whisky releases are bottled at natural strength from a single cask, with no chill-filtering or added colouring. No monkey business, basically.
