We are delighted to bring you the Australian launch of Fable whisky on Tuesday 28th June, hosted by well reputed industry legend and friend of Whisky & Alement, Kevin Griffin. There's so much more to tell but we'll leave the whiskies to speak for themselves, and the fable to be told by Kev.

Some say whisky is all about the story, the company, the moment in which you enjoy a dram with friends. Enter Fable whisky, an independent bottler of single cask whisky that focuses not only on delivering quality liquid but has partnered with high profile creatives to pair this with a fable. Volume 1 spins a tale of 'The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay' pairing each of the eleven chapters with a whisky.

"There was once a small settlement perched on a sea cliff in Scotland’s wild southwest corner. The four compass points would take you elsewhere – east to the borders, north to the country’s heart, south to glacial lakes and west by boat across the waters - but the locals stayed put.

For the land here, which should have been barren, was remarkably rich for farming (a well-kept secret).

Lashed by rain, these were hardy folk as tough as the granite rock beneath their feet.

They did not complain or scare easily, but for one strange thing. On stormy nights, when the moon was nearly drowned, eerie screams seemed to come from below them.

There, where jarring waves met rugged bay, stood a gapping, hollow cave."

Events have moved back downstairs to the heart of the bar, Whisky & Alement. The bar is cosy making our two central tasting tables hot property. Cheap seats are located in the wings of the bar and may be facing away from your presenter, but no more than 2-4m away. If you're happy to swivel around to face your presenter then these seats are for you!

What is a "Central Seat" ?

Central Seats are our two large tasting tables and a few of the bar seats right in the action, located front and centre to your presenter. These seats are best for those wishing to engage with the chat, or looking for the best opportunity to hear.
