A Deep-Dive off the Tallest Stills in Scotland: Old Glenmorangie's with Matt Bailey

From AUD $99.00
  • Duration: 90 Minutes (approx.)
  • Product code: PXK042

Join Matt Bailey (Scotch Malt Whisky Society), Miranda Lidgerwood, and Madeline Ball (Whisky & Alement), in a deep-dive off the tallest stills in Scotland: Glenmorangie! Set yourself up at home on the 18th of November with 5x15ml pours, a line-up of whiskies dating back 30 years.

Whisky & Alement is proud to offer a rare perspective on the progression of this acclaimed distillery as we learn about the rich history of Glenmorangie while tasting not only coveted fan-favourites such as the Astar - which was pioneering in cask management at the time, by Dr Bill Lumsden - but also a curious vintage bottled 1990 for America, a rare and almost 60% ABV vintage by SMWS (bottled 1995), plus we also invite you to be among the first to sample the newest edition to the Glenmorangie range: A Tale Of Cake, as we are joined too by Tal Thorne (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) who will shed light on their colourful new Tokaji cask.

Taste mostly old, and a little brand-new, from one of Scotlands most lauded distilleries.

Flavour profile of Glenmorangie:

Apricots, sherbet, toffee, vanilla, marmalade, lemon zest and honey.
