Irish Whiskey Masterclass: the Rise, Fall and Revival

Take a trip through Ireland, the likely birthplace of whiskey, and trace the development of the 'water of life' from poitín to global acclaim. Travel through the boom times of the 1890's, to the near extinction of the industry in the 1930's. Modern day Ireland celebrates 59+ working distilleries. We set the stage for flavour exploration through the old world, and into the new promise-of-progress in Irish whiskey .

Standard ticket includes:
- 7 x 15ml whisky tastings (not your average bottle shop whiskies, we import most of these ourselves)
- 1.5 hour presentation by a whisky professional
- 5% discount on all purchases at the bottle shop for up to 2 hours after the event

Tee-totaller ticket includes:
- 1 soft drink of your choice
- 1.5 hour presentation by a whisky professional

Change of date is available with a minimum of 7 days notice. 

No cancellations or refunds for any product. Tickets can be gifted to friends or family without notifying the venue.

All participants must be over the legal age of 18 years in order to participate and consume alcohol.

We reserve the right to refuse service without refund, to any persons displaying intoxicated or inappropriate behaviour.

Disabled Access is available on the ground level, but is not available for our tasting room. Please contact us before booking and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Photography and videography - By purchasing a ticket to an event, you acknowledge that the event may be filmed or photographed and give consent for the film or photographs to be published on any platform by Whisky and Alement or by any other entity used for promotion.
