Maltbarn Whiskies: A Puritan of the Indie Maturation World

- Duration: 2 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Melbourne, VIC
- Product code: PZPZAB
Maltbarn whisky is owned and operated by Martin Diekman from the Northern coastal town of Stadland, Germany. Incredibly well connected and humble in his successes Martin never picks whisky with fancy finishes in ground breaking timber profiles. The quality of the spirit and it's integration with cask is paramount for these whiskies to be selected. Expect solid sherry casks, buttery ex-bourbon barrels and decent age statements, beginning in the mid to late teens.
Until now, Maltbarn whiskies have been very difficult to source in Australia with Whisky & Alement importing just a few bottles here and there but now Ben Mitchell from Moreish Wines in New South Wales has committed to wider distribution of the brand we can get our hands on a wider variety!
This is your chance to taste some fantastic single cask whisky from Maltbarn. If you're a peat fan, you won't be disappointed. We'll also be tasting a couple of bourbons from Rare Character as a bonus!
