The BenRiach, Belgian Magnums and Stewart Buchanan

From AUD $55.00
  • Duration: 90 Minutes (approx.)
  • Location: Melbourne, VIC
  • Product code: PMAXTD

Come along for an evening of the best banter in the whisky industry with Stewart Buchanan as we welcome back our first Scottish guest since February 2020.

Given the celebrations for such an achievement we're cracking some amazing beers to accompany the evenings drams. MAGNUMS of 3 Fonteinen's Oude Krieke and Brasserie Dunhams (Quebec) barrel aged sour.

When BenRiach was re-opened for production in 2004 by Distillery Production Manager, Stewart Buchanan, they lauded a more experimental approach than before, and this can be seen in their current offerings which have now come to maturity. "I remember leaving Tobermory with its colourful buildings and quaint harbour side location, and opening the door of BenRiach and going ‘Holy cow!’ I thought, ‘What have I done?’" From still man, to Production Manager and now Global Brand Ambassador, Stewart Buchanan is more than qualified to speak on all facets of distillery life.

What is an "In the Wings" seat?

Events have moved back downstairs to the heart of the bar, Whisky & Alement. The bar is cosy making our two central tasting tables hot property. Cheap seats are located in the wings of the bar and may be facing away from your presenter, but no more than 2-4m away. If you're happy to swivel around to face your presenter then these seats are for you!

What is a "Central Seat" ?

Central Seats are our two large tasting tables right in the action, located front and centre to your presenter. These seats are best for those wishing to engage with the chat, or looking for the best opportunity to hear.

    After the event:

Check out our 'Last Chance' events cabinet. All past event bottles available at 50% of the bar cost, on pour by the dram before and after all events so you can take the opportunity to catch up with like minded whisky friends.
